Deputy President Peter O’Keeffe joined the Fair Work Commission in May 2023. He came to the Commission with the unique experience of having acted as a Human Resources practitioner for employers, and as a union representative for employees.
Deputy President O’Keeffe holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Masters of Industrial Relations from UWA. Most recently, Deputy President O’Keeffe was the Branch Secretary of the SDA (WA) for 10 years.
Deputy President O’Keeffe also has a unique academic perspective having lectured in the Industrial Relations space at Curtin University
