Alana is an employment and industrial relations lawyer based in Sydney. Her expertise includes modern award interpretation and compliance, advising on compliance with work health and safety legislation, responding to unfair dismissal, general protections and discrimination claims, workplace investigations, preparing and reviewing contracts and policies, and advising on employment and workplace matters.
She is an experienced advocate and has represented peak employer associations in large-scale work value proceedings, including the Aged Care Work Value proceedings, Nurses and Midwives Work Value proceedings, and the Gender Undervaluation – Priority Awards proceedings. Prior to joining ABLA, Alana worked as an Associate to the Hon Justice Michael Walton of the Supreme Court of NSW.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame Australia, as well as a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney.
